Every Wednesday and Saturday at 7 PM, turn your bar into the main event. Contestants line up, arms locked straight, steins held high — and the crowd goes wild as the MC counts down every dramatic second until only one shaking arm remains. It's easy to run, pure entertainment, and gets guests cheering, posting, and coming back for more.
The winner walks away a local legend (and $50 richer in Haus Rewards) — but the real prize is a packed bar and a night nobody forgets.

1. Promote the Contest
- Promote in-store and online using the provided social media templates.
- Contest runs every Wednesday and Saturday, 7:00 PM local time.
2. Gather the Equipment
- 6 matching 1L steins, filled to the same level with water
- Stopwatch
- Registration sheet (see companion Sign-Up Sheet)
- Painter's tape or floor markers for contestant positions
- Towels / mop for spills
- One MC and one judge assigned
- Prize info sheet on hand
3. Sign People Up
- Have servers/bartenders recruit contestants 30–60 minutes beforehand.
- Eligibility: 21+, one entry per person, must be a Haus Rewards member, must be able to safely lift and hold a full 1L stein.
- No purchase of alcohol required. Management may decline participation at its discretion.
4. Decide the Format
- Fewer than 8 contestants: 1 round.
- 8+ contestants: 2 heats plus a final round.
- More than 12 contestants: 3 heats plus a final round.
- 2 or fewer participants: the competition can be cancelled.
5. Explain the Rules Before Starting
- Contestants stand side-by-side, facing the audience.
- Hold the stein by the handle with one hand; non-holding hand stays at the side.
- Extend the arm straight out, parallel to the floor, with a straight elbow.
- No supporting the holding arm with the body or other hand.
- Spilling or lowering the stein means you're out.
- One warning for bad form; a second violation is an out.
6. Start the Contest
- Music up, crowd cheering — make it entertainment for the whole bar.
- MC counts down: “Three…two…one…PROST!” and starts the clock.
- MC narrates like a sporting event: “Thirty seconds!” … “One minute!” … “We're down to four!” … “That arm is SHAKING!”
7. Eliminate Contestants
- As form breaks down, the judge taps the contestant out and they carefully lower the stein.
- The last contestant maintaining acceptable form wins.
- Mop up spills promptly. No chugging anything, water or beer.
8. Crown the Champion
- Photograph the winner holding the stein and post to social media with the winning time.
- Prize: $50 reward issued in Haus Rewards. No residual value; reward expires April 15, 2027.
- Reward can take up to 72 hours to be issued to rewards account from the time of form submission.
Submit the winner's first name, last name, phone number, and Haus Rewards Membership email via the Winner Reward Google Form so the reward can be issued in the app. THIS STEP MUST BE TAKEN BY DOG HAUS STAFF. The form will ask for the submitter's name and location. Rewards will not be issued to individuals whose information was not submitted through the Google Form.
